Ferghana Valley

The Ferghana Valley is truly a pearl of the East, one of the most picturesque and fertile places in Central Asia. It stretches in the east of Uzbekistan, partially entering the territory of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and is surrounded by the majestic ridges of the Tien Shan and Gissaro-Alai.

Here, at the confluence of the Karadarya and Naryn rivers, the great Syrdarya River is born, feeding the life of the vast plains and gardens of the valley.

The nature of Ferghana impresses with the harmony of contrasts — the snow-capped peaks of the mountains are adjacent to green gardens, cotton fields, mulberry groves and vineyards. The mild climate, fertile soil and abundance of water have long made this region a center of agriculture and crafts.
