Tashkent Polytechnic Museum
The Tashkent Polytechnic Museum was established in 2005 on the initiative of the UzAvtosanoat joint-stock company. It is dedicated to the development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan and reflects all the major events in its history.
The bright and spacious building was designed and built specifically for the museum, and its classical features blend harmoniously with modern ones.
A team of young architects led by Sardor Raufov participated in the development of the museum project. The facades of the museum are made in the traditional white color for sunny countries: it reflects the sun well. The white color harmoniously combines with the glass surfaces of the building, which have a characteristic greenish tint due to iron impurities in Uzbek sand used in the production of facade glass.
The interior design is subordinated to the idea of dividing the space into thematic and chronological zones. The high ceilings and large areas of the building made it possible to place a large number of large exhibits — models, cars and equipment.
The spacious halls of the museum are located on two floors of the building.
