Namangan Airport
Namangan Airport (Uzbek: Namangan xalqaro aeroporti) is the international airport of the city of the same name in Uzbekistan, which provides a full range of ground handling of aircraft, commercial passenger and cargo services. Since 2021, it has been the main hub for flights operated by Uzbekistan Airways JSC under the low-cost air transportation scheme.
Reconstruction of the airport was carried out in 2007. The terminal's capacity was 200 passengers per hour. You can take a taxi to the airport from the city. Shuttle bus No. 4 runs along the highway 1.4 km from the airport.
In accordance with the government's program for the reconstruction of all major airports in Uzbekistan, the runway will be extended by 800 meters by 2025, which will allow servicing all types of aircraft that currently exist. Today, the airport infrastructure already has a mother and child room - it is located on the first floor of the terminal in the "zone of silence" (a simple waiting room is located far enough from it). All services are provided free of charge if the passenger is heavily pregnant or takes a child under the age of seven with her. In this room, you can relax with your baby, eat (order food from the restaurant cafeteria or cook it yourself), consult a pediatrician, take a book from the library or take a shower.
There is also a luxurious VIP lounge on the second floor of the building. Passengers can enjoy a comfortable room with upholstered furniture, Internet and TV, a meeting room, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a bar with a variety of foreign and local alcoholic beverages, and a flight schedule board. Moreover, each customer can go through customs control and check-in without waiting in line, and even additionally order delivery to the aircraft ramp in a business class car.
