Monument to Tamerlane

The monument to the great commander and ruler Amir Temur is one of the most recognizable and revered places in Samarkand. The monument is located in the very center of the city and is a symbol of strength, wisdom and national pride.

The bronze statue depicts Amir Temur riding a horse, with his hand raised, pointing forward — as a sign of determination and faith in the future. The words of the ruler are carved on the pedestal.:

"The power lies in justice."

This phrase has become the motto not only of Temur, but also of an entire generation inspired by his image.

The surrounding area is landscaped, decorated with greenery and lanterns, which makes the place especially beautiful in the evening. The monument is organically integrated into the appearance of the city and serves as a reminder of the greatness of the Timurid era, when Samarkand was one of the centers of world civilization.

Today it is not only a historical landmark, but also one of the main symbols of Samarkand, where tourists and residents come to honor the memory of the great ruler and take a memorable photo against the background of the legendary monument.
