The monument "Courage" is one of the most significant monuments in Tashkent, dedicated to the tragic events and heroism of people who survived the devastating earthquake on April 26, 1966. This memorial complex symbolizes the resilience, fortitude and unity of the city's residents, who were able to rebuild Tashkent after the disaster. The earthquake of 1966, with a magnitude of 8.3, occurred early in the morning and destroyed a significant part of Tashkent, leaving about 300,000 people homeless. Despite the scale of the destruction, the residents of the city, with the support of the whole country, were able to quickly begin reconstruction. The monument was erected on the site of the epicenter of the earthquake as a symbol of memory of the tragedy and gratitude to the people who helped rebuild the city.
Architectural features

The monument was created by sculptor Dmitry Ryabichev and architect Valery Ganiev. The complex consists of several elements, each of which has a deep symbolism.:
