Mausoleum of Khoja Maggiz
This mausoleum, built in the first half of the 18th century, can be safely attributed to the unique objects of Muslim culture. Such an original building is very rare in the architecture of Central Asian countries. The mausoleum of Khoja Magiz is covered with a dome with a diameter of 4.4 m, which rests on a drum, faceted from below, cylindrical from above.
The facade of the tomb is divided into smooth rectangular panels with reliefs covered with floral patterns and composed of cast gancha tiles. The purity of the forms, the nobility of the proportions and the exquisite decorative elements peculiar to this building make it one of the best memorial buildings in Margilan. The combination of a sparse range of colors with carvings conveys the features of the old Margilan style.
