Tashkent City Planetarium
The Tashkent City Planetarium is not just a museum, but a whole scientific and educational complex that offers visitors to escape from everyday life and embark on an exciting journey through the vastness of the universe. Located in the old part of the city, not far from the famous Chorsu Bazaar, it is one of the iconic places in Tashkent, where modern science meets the ancient astronomical traditions of Central Asia.
The heart of the Planetarium is its **Star Hall**— a cinema equipped with an advanced Japanese projection system. This technology allows you to demonstrate incredibly realistic full-dome (fuldom) shows, creating a complete sense of immersion in the open starry sky for the audience. While in the hall, you can watch exciting films about the mysteries of Dark Matter, the exploration of the Solar System or the history of space flight. The programs are designed for the widest audience, including special colorful animated fairy tales for the youngest visitors.
An interesting exposition on the history of astronomy in the region is presented in the lobby and exhibition halls of the Planetarium. A special place is occupied by the legacy of the great scientist Mirzo Ulugbek, Tamerlane's great-grandson, where you can see the model of his famous Samarkand observatory. In addition, there are models of spacecraft, figures of famous astronauts and various visual aids explaining the structure of our planetary system. The Tashkent Planetarium is an ideal place for family recreation and educational leisure, where everyone, regardless of age, can broaden their horizons and feel like a part of the vast and mysterious cosmos.
