International Ceramics Garden

The International Ceramics Garden (or simply Ceramics Park) in Tashkent is a small but extremely cozy and distinctive corner of the city dedicated to applied art.

This green square, located in the center of Tashkent (in the area behind the Alisher Navoi Bolshoi Theater), appeared thanks to the international symposium of ceramists, which was held in the city in the late 1980s. Craftsmen from all over the world have left their works here, turning the territory into a kind of open-air museum of park sculpture.

Walking along the shady alleys of the Garden, visitors can see a wide variety of ceramic compositions and sculptures. Most of these objects do not have plaques with names and authors, which gives the walk an element of mystery and allows each tourist to independently interpret what they see. It features both abstract installations that excite the imagination, as well as recognizable motifs inspired by folk tales, nature, or philosophical reflections on the eternal. The sculptures are made of various materials, including baked clay, metal and stone, and harmoniously blend into the landscape of the city.

The International Ceramics Garden is a great place to relax and explore the distinctive art of ceramicists. It serves as a quiet oasis in the center of the capital, where you can not only enjoy the coolness and greenery, but also appreciate the work of sculptors and architects from different countries.
