Gumbaz Synagogue
An interesting place for tourists that is not so easy to find is the Gumbaz synagogue, located far from the central streets of Samarkand. The Jewish community of the city is small, and its shrine is a very small building.
Gumbaz is open to both believers and tourists. According to the stories, the rabbi of the synagogue is a sociable, friendly person who is happy to tell stories from the life of the community and even show ancient sacred books.
