Eternal City Historical and Ethnographic Park

The Eternal City Historical and Ethnographic Park was opened in September 2022 on the territory adjacent to the elite SILK ROAD SAMARKAND hotel complex and the Samarkand Rowing Canal.

The park is located 9 km from the city center and covers an area of 17 hectares. A magnificent oriental “city” has been erected on the territory of the park, in which you can see not replicas of original buildings and monuments, but the architectural style of almost all regions of Uzbekistan, as well as the reconstruction of historical sites that have not survived to the present day - the Sogdian castle, the Ulugbek observatory, etc.

Artisan shops, a library, a puppet theater, recreation areas, cafes and restaurants are located on the streets of the recreated city. In the workshops you can observe the work of more than 100 artisans: ceramic potters, blacksmiths, coiners, carvers, embroiderers, weavers, jewelers, miniaturists and purchase their original products.

There is also an original historical costume workshop with a magnificent collection of replica clothes from various historical eras. The city has traditional tandoori where samsa and flatbreads are prepared, an Uzbek tea house where the national cuisine of all regions of Uzbekistan is prepared, and a shop where you can taste wines from 10 regions of Uzbekistan.

The city is surrounded on all sides by a canal with water and can only be reached by two original bridges.
