Ashgabat Park
Ashgabat Park in Tashkent opened in April 2018 and is dedicated to friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, so the name was chosen by analogy with the Turkmen capital. Therefore, the characteristic features of the national Turkmen style can be seen in the architectural and decorative elements. One of them is an octagonal star that defines the shape of the fountain that welcomes guests at the entrance. Information stands and even flower beds are also made. Akhal–Teke horses, another pride of the Turkmen, are also used as a symbolic form for the central fountain of the park, as well as the framing statues. In addition, one of the indoor scenes resembles a bird in flight with lines, a reference to the new airport in Ashgabat.
It is attracted by the location in the central part, forming a square with a Central Park, as well as an Eco-park opposite the Catholic church.
The amusement park with reasonable prices and a variety of entertainment is located on an area of 12 hectares, where half of the site is intended for walking and relaxation. Those who appreciate active pastime can rent bicycles and scooters, as well as use the treadmill. The convenient infrastructure using escalators makes it comfortable for both children and the elderly.
The ticket offices offer the option to purchase gift certificates, which will undoubtedly be a joyful gift for a birthday or vacation, and subscriptions are provided for regular visitors and large families.
On weekends, several stages of the park host concerts by local pop stars, animation shows, as well as music festivals and public holidays: New Year, Nowruz and Independence Day.
Visitors with children will be attracted and pleased by the indoor playground with trampolines, which allows them not to depend on the vagaries of the weather, and the railway with a steam train will charm and entice them on an exciting journey.
The food alley is full of snack options.
In the evening, the park becomes especially crowded (due to the small amount of vegetation in summer, you find yourself in the open sun here) and immediately after dusk it begins to transform, blooming with colorful lighting and cozy LED lamps. Dynamic music creates a party mood.
