Andijan Museum of Local Lore
The museums of Uzbekistan are distinguished by a unique selection of collectible exhibits, each of them has a special significance and value, because artifacts serve as tools for connecting times. After all, unique artifacts of all eras are collected here. The various states that were located in the Ferghana Valley left traces of their stay (a piece of soul, culture, etc.), along with architectural monuments, they can be used to study the formation of states. Museums in Uzbekistan and local Ferghana collections have interesting masterpieces (canvases, sculptures, household tools, art objects that can tell a lot about people's lives at different times).
The Andijan Museum of Local Lore corresponds to each of these characteristics. In addition, artifacts are constantly being replenished (after all, excavations in the Ferghana region continue to this day, and very interesting objects are being found). The modern Museum of Local Lore of Andijan has acquired several thematic areas.
At the moment, the museum has the following departments::
• archaeological (exhibits discovered as a result of local excavations tell the moments of the country's formation)
• exhibits of applied and fine arts (entourage and standard objects will allow tracing the development of crafts and culture)
• ethnographic (allows you to see the scientific developments of ethnic researchers)
The Andijan Museum of Local Lore provides immersion in the atmosphere of different eras (the staff were able to recreate it thanks to modern technologies and their own diligence). The extracted objects of the exhibition will help to trace the formation of the settlement from ancient times to the present day.
The Andijan Museum of Local Lore has more than 66 thousand exhibits. They were restored with the help of the best Ferghana craftsmen and meticulous workers. The collected collections will help the visitor to find something informative, to discover new things for themselves. The historical moments of the entire Ferghana region are reflected not only in the exhibits, but also in the atmosphere itself. An interesting feature is that not only antiquity is represented here, but also the most modernity. The museum exhibits current paintings by artists and craftsmen restoring traditional craft technologies.
The Soviet–era building itself (founded in 1934) also attracts attention with its unusual architecture (it is simply impossible to pass by). The famous building is located on the northeastern edge of the Jami complex, in the old part of the city. Permanent and off-site exhibitions are constantly organized here, where guides (guides) will tell you all the most interesting and unusual things about the culture and origin of the peoples who lived on this territory in different eras.
