A.A. Akhmatova Club Museum
The Mangalochy Dvorik small public museum is located on V. Vakhidov St. and holds evenings and meetings on Thursdays and Saturdays. It is public and is under the care of the Russian Cultural Center. Poetess Anna Akhmatova lived in Tashkent during the Great Patriotic War, from 1941 to May 1944.
The house in which she lived during the evacuation years collapsed during the earthquake of 1966. The club museum was opened in 2000 on the initiative of Anna Akhmatova's poetry fans, who personally knew the poetess, and continues to be replenished with objects, photographs, letters and portraits that can be viewed independently.
