Ulugbek Memorial Museum

The Ulugbek Memorial Museum (Uzbek: Mirzo Ulugbek muzeyi) is dedicated to the outstanding medieval scientist, astronomer, mathematician and statesman Mirzo Ulugbek. The museum was opened in 1964 next to the place where the famous Ulugbek Observatory, built in the 15th century, was located.

The museum building has a unique architecture: its entrance part is made in a style reminiscent of medieval buildings, which emphasizes the connection with the era of Ulugbek. Inside the museum there is a collection of exhibits related to the life and scientific activities of Ulugbek. Among them are objects found at the observatory site, as well as materials telling about his works in the field of astronomy and mathematics.

The museum plays an important role in preserving the legacy of Ulugbek, who made a huge contribution to world science. It is a popular destination for tourists and researchers interested in the history of science and culture of Central Asia.
