Samarkand Regional Museum of Local Lore

The Samarkand Regional Museum of Local Lore is an important cultural and historical site located in the heart of Samarkand. The museum was founded in 1981 and has since become a center for the study of the history, culture and nature of the region.

Architectural features

The museum is located in an old mansion built in the early 20th century by architect E.O. Nelle. This building itself is an interesting architectural object reflecting the style and atmosphere of its time.
