Rock carvings and "purification stones" in the Kuruksai tract

There are many unique places on our planet that combine the unimaginable beauty of nature and the traces of primitive people. The Kuruksai tract is a truly mysterious place. A remote corner of our planet, as if hiding from prying eyes, is located in the Kashkadarya region, near the village of Dzhizmonsoy.

In addition to the indescribable beauty of the mountains, green vegetation and bizarre shapes of stones, here you can find eagles soaring high in the sky, springs, and rocks with ancient Stone Age drawings. The images on Siypantosh Rock (as the locals called it) show hunting scenes of ancient people, wild horses, wolves, kulans, foxes, camels, and even handprints. Drawings from a later period have also been preserved, which clearly show how ancient people hunted with bows and tamed dogs.

There are also amazing "Purification Stones" here. Usually such stones look like a large block, in the middle and at the bottom of which there is a passage resembling a human ear.  Local legend says that by passing through such a stone, one can completely cleanse oneself of sins.

It is also interesting that the passage of a stone is influenced not by the size of a person, but by his degree of sinfulness. Sometimes a large person passes through a stone "ear" without any obstacles, and a thin one gets stuck. Such is the unexplored Kashkadarya – a place with pristine and harsh beauty, shrouded in a mystical halo.
