Maly Chimgan Mountain
In the mountain range of the Chatkal range, next to the famous Bolshoy Chimgan, stands the peak of its "younger brother" - the Maly Chimgan hill. Despite the fact that it is slightly smaller and its height is 2,097 m, it is no less popular among tourists and vacationers.
Climbing Maly Chimgan is often done with children, as its slopes are not too steep and are suitable even for beginners. If you are one, then you will not find a better place to start mountain hiking than Maly Chimgan. Vacationers who do not have special training often try their hand at a simple hike to Maly Chimgan, and if this route is given to them without any special difficulties, then the next mandatory ascent will be a hike to Bolshoy Chimgan. Thus, the Small Chimgan serves as a kind of preparatory base for further more difficult ascents with steep slopes and descents.
Usually, the ascent to Maly Chimgan begins with a Sandy pass along a path winding between mountain junipers, paved by thousands of travelers. When going hiking, do not forget to bring drinking water with you, as there are no rivers or springs on the way to the mountain.
Unlike the difficult Big Chimgan, which takes a long time to climb, Small Chimgan can be climbed several times a day, as one hike takes 3-4 hours. Climbing it, you will see an indescribably beautiful mountain panorama with real wildlife, majestic and mighty ridges, and an inaccessible mountain system beyond the control of man. From a bird's-eye view, you can see the famous Charvak reservoir, which is both frightening and fascinating with its large-scale scope and depth. There is also a beautiful view of the mountain rivers Pskem and Ugam, visible from afar.
To summarize the above, it doesn't matter which Chimgan you conquer - Small or Large, the fabulous view of untouched wildlife opens from absolutely any height, and you can enjoy the fresh air and relax against the backdrop of mountainous nature from almost anywhere in the Chimgan massif.
