Independence Day of Uzbekistan

September 1, 1991 is the birthday of the newly independent Republic of Uzbekistan, the country's first and most important public holiday. The whole republic widely, brightly and cheerfully celebrates the anniversary of Independence.

Each region, and there are 12 of them in Uzbekistan, is preparing its own festive program. Wherever you find yourself on this day, you will find an exciting sight: performances by original folklore groups, gambling sports, variety shows, and noisy fairs of folk craftsmen. And in the capital of Uzbekistan, they are preparing for the celebration in advance, because the festive show, which takes place on the main square of the country "Mustakillik", is so spectacular and large-scale that it simply takes your breath away. It features hundreds of extras, dozens of music and dance groups, and the brightest pop and movie stars. And in the evening, a grandiose fireworks display soars over the square.
