In Uzbekistan, they decided to cancel the capital's residence permit. This is reported by the UPL correspondent.
According to the information, the law passed in 2011 on registration in the capital and the capital region is being repealed. The repeal of this law will come into force in three months, that is, on October 11, 2025.
It is worth noting that Tashkent was previously closed to residents of other regions. In the capital, it was not allowed to buy housing without a residence permit and there were difficulties with finding employment. Many residents of the regions had to make a temporary residence permit to live in Tashkent.
In recent years, residents of other regions have been allowed to buy housing in Tashkent. In addition, a residence permit is not required for employment.
