From May to June, 2,632 drug crimes were recorded in Uzbekistan as part of Operation Koradori-2025 (Black Poppy-2025), 446.3 kg of drugs and more than 43 kg of prescription drugs were seized. Law enforcement officers found 183.3 thousand poppy and cannabis bushes, including 50 illegal landings from a helicopter.

At the first stage of the operational event "Koradori-2025" ("Black Poppy-2025") from May to June, law enforcement officers recorded 2,632 drug crimes, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

    During the events, 446.3 kg of narcotic substances were seized, as well as 43.9 kg, or 188.5 thousand units of prescription drugs.

930 facts of cultivation of narcotic plants have been revealed. 183.3 thousand bushes were seized as physical evidence, including 173.3 thousand opium poppy bushes and over 10 thousand cannabis bushes. With the help of helicopters, 50 illegal crops were found in the Ferghana and Tashkent regions.

The largest volumes of drug cultivation have been recorded:

    There are 4,840 bushes in Angren in Tashkent region—;
    There are 15.4 thousand bushes in Altynkul district of Andijan region.;
    There are 6783 bushes in the Chust district of Namangan region—;
    There are 3,263 bushes in the Pakhtachinsky district of the Samarkand region.

In addition, 2,068 drug graffiti containing advertisements for drug stores has been eliminated.

As a result of the first stage of the operation, 2,805 criminal cases were initiated. The second stage of the operation is scheduled for August-September.

The second stage of the anti-drug campaign will start on July 15 as part of Operation Safe and Healthy Country and will last until August 15. To strengthen control and provide feedback, a 24-hour call center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been organized.
